Following serious joint problems, Nicolas Desjardins had to make major changes to his lifestyle. Having difficulty walking at age 18, he wore prosthetic legs and feet to help realign them. Without short or long term results, his problems worsening, he had to turn to alternatives other than traditional medicine.
Several meetings with specialists in osteopathy, chiropractic, orthotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, applied kinesiology, bonesetters and naturopathy, developed his interest in alternative treatments and the human body. Becoming a massage therapist a few years ago, he continued his studies of the body with other specialists, such as chiropractors specializing in joint realignment, to finally seek an essential complement: functional training.
His vision is that we live in an environment far removed from which our bodies have evolved over millions of years. It therefore develops new problems linked to the modern era, as much by the processed diet, by the overused sitting position, repetitive jobs forcing an internal rotation of the shoulders, a lack of stimulus to the cerebellum, etc.
Always searching for the causes of postural imbalances, Nicolas developed interests in neurology. He trained in posturology in Canada in 2013.
He founded and operated the Primal Camp Athletic Development Center from 2012 to 2015.
Since 2014, he has undertaken certification in functional neurology and medical neuroscience.
From September 2014 to 2016, he joined the AAT Institute (Applied Athletic Therapeutic) team as a trainer and content developer.
In February 2016, he joined the Applied Movement Neurology Academy team, based in England, as an AMN Senior Lecturer.
In June 2016, he joined the team at the Balance Study Center (Ce2), based in France, as a content developer and teacher.
In November 2016, he became a columnist for the FD Fitness WebMagazine, until August 2019.
In 2016, he founded and operated L'Institut Neuro Performance Inc. which became Academia NeuEra in 2020.
In 2017, he participated as a guest speaker at the Virtual Neurology Summit 2018.
Since winter 2017, he has been undertaking a Doctorate / Ph.D in Integrative Medicine at Quantum University in the United States.
In August 2018, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Holistic Health Sciences from Quantum University.
In November 2018, he presented in Paris at the International Conference on Central Nervous System & Therapeutics. The topic was Posture and Mobility as markers of the CNS.
In 2020, he became co-founder and Vice President of Quantum Jump Technologies Inc.
Passionate, he now has more than 8,000 hours of training that he has acquired in 8 different countries and more than 15 years of practice in the clinic and in the classroom. He has taught for 6 schools in 7 countries and he wants to share his knowledge, offering courses to health and fitness specialists around the world, with the aim of evolving current practices to the next level.
